Doxazosin XL

Doxazosin XL is a prescription drug approved for the treatment of an enlarged prostate (known medically as benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH). As an alpha blocker, this medicine helps to treat BPH symptoms by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder. It comes as an extended-release tablet that is taken once daily. Side effects may include dizziness, headaches, and respiratory tract infections.

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, doxazosin XL can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
