Were you looking for information on Finasteride? Finastride is a common misspelling of finasteride.

Finasteride (sold under the brand names Propecia® and Proscar®) is approved for the treatment of enlarged prostate and male pattern baldness in men. It works by blocking the conversion of testosterone into DHT. As a result, the medicine can help shrink the prostate, stop hair loss, and regrow hair. Finasteride comes in tablet form and is available in two strengths. Commonly reported side effects include decreased libido, decreased ejaculate amount, and breast enlargement.

(Click Finasteride to read the complete eMedTV article, which describes in detail how the drug works, what to be aware of before taking it, and how your dose will be determined.)
