Men Home > Axiron Uses

Can Children Use It?

Axiron is not approved for use in individuals under the age of 18, as it has not been adequately studied in this age group. Using Axiron in children could result in bone problems.

Off-Label Uses for Axiron

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this product for something other than treating low testosterone in men. These are known as "off-label" uses. Off-label Axiron uses include treating the following conditions:

  • Low testosterone in women (even though testosterone is thought of as a "male" hormone, women also produce a little of it)
  • Slightly low but still considered normal testosterone levels in men.
