Were you looking for information on Finasteride? Finasterid is a common variation of finasteride in countries other than the United States.
Finasteride is a prescription medication licensed to treat enlarged prostate and male pattern baldness in men. By blocking the conversion of testosterone into DHT, the medicine helps shrink the prostate, stop hair loss, and regrow hair. Finasteride comes in tablet form and is available in two strengths: 1 mg for hair loss treatment and 5 mg for enlarged prostate treatment. Side effects that have been reported with the drug include impotence, decreased libido, and decreased ejaculate amount.
