Methitest Medication Information

If you have low testosterone, your healthcare provider may recommend Methitest® (methyltestosterone tablets), a drug that contains a slightly altered form of testosterone. This altered form allows the medicine to be taken as a tablet, rather than by injection or as a cream or patch. The medication is also approved to treat delayed puberty in boys and, in certain cases, advanced breast cancer in women.

This medicine is classified as a controlled substance in the United States, so special regulations control its sale and use. Because this product has the potential to cause drug interactions and serious side effects, it may not be right for everyone. Before starting treatment with Methitest, provide your healthcare provider with information on any other medical conditions you have and any other medications you are taking.
