Robaxin 500 mg Tablets

Robaxin® (methocarbamol) is a muscle relaxant that is available only by prescription. It is used to treat pain associated with short-term, painful "musculoskeletal conditions," such as muscle spasms due to an injury. The medicine comes in the form of tablets and an injection. Typically, the tablets are taken three or four times a day.

The brand-name tablets come in one strength -- 750 mg. At one point, Robaxin 500 mg tablets were available, but the drug's manufacturer no longer makes this strength. However, generic versions of the 500 mg tablets are still available. For the drug to work properly, it must be taken exactly as prescribed -- do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider tells you to do so.
