Side Effects of Silodosin

In clinical studies, some of the most commonly reported side effects of silodosin include nasal congestion, dizziness, and retrograde ejaculation. While most side effects of this medication are minor and do not require treatment, some are potentially serious and require immediate medical attention. Notify your healthcare provider immediately if you experience fainting or develop any signs of an allergic reaction (such as itching or hives).

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with silodosin (Rapaflo^™). However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Silodosin Side Effects to Report

There are a number of possible side effects with silodosin that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:

Fainting, which can be a sign of dangerously low blood pressure (hypotension)
Yellow eyes or skin (jaundice), which may be a sign of liver problems
Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:

An unexplained rash
Hives
Itching
Swelling of the mouth, lips, or throat
Wheezing or difficulty breathing.
