Silodosin is a medication licensed to relieve the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. It is available by prescription only and comes in the form of a capsule that is generally taken once daily with a meal. By relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder, the medicine can help relieve symptoms such as frequent urination, a weak stream, and nighttime urination.

As with any medicine, silodosin may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
