Injecting Testosterone Cypionate

Men who have low testosterone levels may benefit from testosterone cypionate (Depo®-Testosterone). Before beginning treatment with this prescription medicine, make sure you discuss how to administer this medication. It comes in the form of injections that are usually given in the gluteal muscle every two to four weeks. You, a friend, a family member, or your healthcare provider can administer the injection.
After the medicine is injected, it is slowly released into the bloodstream over a period of up to four weeks. Your specific dosage will depend on several factors, such as how you respond to the medicine, other medications you are taking, and existing medical conditions you may have.
