Testosterone Cypionate Therapy

As a type of testosterone hormone replacement therapy, testosterone cypionate (Depo®-Testosterone) can help treat low testosterone levels in men. This prescription medication can help restore testosterone levels back to normal, regardless of whether the cause of the low levels was due to a problem in the testes or in the brain.

Testosterone cypionate can also be used in adolescents age 12 and older who have not yet started puberty. There are also some "off-label," or unapproved, uses of testosterone cypionate, such as hormone therapy in transgender individuals and the treatment of low testosterone in women.
