Dosage of Vardenafil

For most people, the recommended starting vardenafil dosage is 10 mg one hour prior to sexual activity. The dosage of vardenafil your healthcare provider recommends will depend on a number of factors, including your age, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are currently taking. In order for vardenafil to work properly, you must take it exactly as prescribed.

  • Your age
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking.
     
As always, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

The recommended starting dosage is vardenafil 10 mg one hour prior to sexual activity. Depending on how well it works and whether you experience any side effects, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your dosage of vardenafil.

Dosage of Vardenafil: General Information

Some considerations for people taking vardenafil include the following:
 
  • Your medication can be taken at any time during the day. However, vardenafil should not be taken more than once in a day.
     
  • While your dosage can be taken with or without food, taking vardenafil with a high-fat meal may decrease the amount of the medicine in the blood.
     
  • Do not break, chew, or crush the vardenafil tablets.
     
  • For vardenafil to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Vardenafil will not work if you take it in a way other than how your healthcare provider prescribes.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to vardenafil or your particular dosage of vardenafil, please talk with your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking vardenafil without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.
